Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge (German: Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe) was a World War II German military decoration awarded to Luftwaffe personnel for achievement in ground combat. The badge was instituted on 31 March 1942 by Hermann Göring,and was awarded to soldiers who has been involved in three engagaments on three different days.It consists of a wreath of oak leaves, a Luftwaffe eagle and a storm cloud from which a lightning bolts strikes the ground. It was worn on the left side of the uniform.
