Auxiliary Cruiser Badge was established on April 24th, 1941 by Grand Admiral Erich Raeder.It consisted of a vertical oval wreath of oakleaves with the national emblem of an eagle with outspread wings clutching a swastika at the apex.The central area features a Viking longship sailing over the northern hemisphere of the globe.It was awarded to officers and men of the Kriegsmarine for service on Auxiliary Cruisers or the supply ships that supported them.It was worn on the lower part of the left brest pocket of the naval service tunic, underneath the Iron Cross Ist Class if awarded, or equivalent grade award.
